Overview
Located on a six-acre croft in the village of Glendale in north-west Skye, Moonrise Studio Pod is a stylish and hand-crafted mini abode, perfect for a relaxing retreat for two (and up to two canine chums) with views up the glen to the MacLeod’s Tables. With a decking and firepit area, it’s ideal for lazy evenings and barbeques. Enjoy our tranquil surroundings, fantastic sunsets and dark starry nights!
The space
Inside, the pod has floor-to-ceiling windows along with characterful oak-pegged beams and waney-edge shelving. A small double bed, a comfy sofa and a dining table are provided too, plus an electric fire to keep everyone warm.
Things to make your life easy include USB charging points for devices and storage space for your kit (take plenty of layers to combat the unpredictable Skye weather). The kitchenette and bathroom are equipped with everything you need; just be aware the shower is a tad on the small side due the constraints of the building.
French doors lead onto the decking for lazing around on summer evenings as the sun sets, or sitting around the firepit for alfresco barbecue suppers. There’s little light pollution, so if the sky is clear after dark you can gaze up at the stars – you might get lucky and spot the Northern Lights flashing colours across the sky.
